Chichester Cathedral has been at the centre of life in Chichester for nearly 1000 years and is the mother church of the Diocese of Chichester which covers East and West Sussex. Chichester Cathedral is famous for its modern art which was commissioned mainly during the late 20th century by Walter Hussey.

Practical information:

The Cathedral is free to enter and open every day and all year from
7.15am - 6.00pm in the winter months, and 7.00pm in the summer months.

Free guided tours take place most days at 11.15am and 2.30pm. All are
welcome. (Occasional restrictions due to services or special events).
