About the Location:
St Anselm's Church, designed by Adshead and Ramsey, was built partly before and partly after the First World War. Its form draws on the architecture of a Roman Basilica, with carved stone interior capitals and carved . The church is going through a period of planning and research with a view to redeveloping the space within for community uses. However, the plans at this stage require the removal of the Norman Adams paintings which are marouflaged to the walls and would be diffcult to remove. Aside from this technical difficulty the paintings are site-specific.
